Terms of Service

Last updated April 30, 2026

By using Seek you agree to these terms. They are written to be readable. If something here is unclear, email us and we will explain.

1. Who this is between

This agreement is between you and Seek (the "app", "we", "us"). It covers your use of the Seek iOS app and this website.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Seek, and old enough in your jurisdiction to enter into this agreement. If you are using Seek on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you have authority to do so.

3. Your account

4. What Seek does

Seek lets you share a feeling, situation, or question and returns Bible verses, a short prayer, and a worship song suggestion that the AI matches to your prompt. You can favorite verses, save prayers, and create shareable verse cards.

Seek is denominationally neutral. We do not endorse any particular church or doctrine, and verses are surfaced based on relevance to the prompt rather than any theological position.

5. AI-generated content

Scripture chat replies are generated by an AI model. AI output can be wrong, incomplete, or miss context. Seek's responses are offered as a starting point for reflection, not as authoritative spiritual counsel, professional advice, or a substitute for prayer, scripture study, or pastoral guidance.

Bible text shown in chat is rendered by the AI from public-domain (KJV) and widely available translations (NLT). If you notice a verse that appears mistranscribed, please report it.

If you are in crisis Seek is not a substitute for professional help. If you or someone you know is in immediate danger or experiencing a mental-health crisis, contact your local emergency services. In the United States, call or text 988 for the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. In the UK, call 116 123 for Samaritans. Other countries: findahelpline.com.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

7. Pricing and donations

Seek is offered free of charge. There is no subscription, no in-app purchase, and no required payment to use any feature of the app.

If Seek has been useful to you and you'd like to help cover the costs of running it, you can make an optional donation from inside the app (Profile → Support Seek). Donations are processed by Stripe, are voluntary, and are not refundable through Seek. They are not tax-deductible.

8. Your content

You retain ownership of what you type into Seek (your chat prompts, the verses you favorite, the prayers you save, the cards you make). You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process that content as needed to operate the service — for example, sending your prompt to the AI provider so it can return a response, or rendering a verse card on your device.

We do not claim ownership of your content. We do not sell your content. We do not use your prompts to train AI models. See the Privacy Policy for what we store and for how long.

9. Verse cards and sharing

Verse cards you create may include scripture from public-domain or widely-available translations and a small Seek watermark. You may share these cards on social media or with friends. You may not remove the Seek watermark, sell the cards, or claim them as your own original artwork.

10. Changes to the service

We may add, change, or remove features over time. If we make a change that materially affects you (such as removing access to something you paid for), we will give reasonable notice in the app or by email.

11. Termination

You can stop using Seek and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that we reasonably believe pose a risk to other users or to the service. On termination, sections that by their nature should survive (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, governing law) will continue to apply.

12. Disclaimers

Seek is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI responses will be accurate or appropriate for your situation.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Seek's total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these terms or the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or (b) USD $50. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses.

14. Indemnification

You agree to defend and hold us harmless from any claim or demand made by a third party arising out of your use of the service in violation of these terms or applicable law.

15. Third-party services

The service relies on third-party providers (Apple, Supabase, Anthropic) and may link to third-party content (Apple Music, Spotify). Their terms govern your interaction with them. We are not responsible for the conduct of third parties.

16. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute that is not resolved informally will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to that jurisdiction. If you live in a jurisdiction whose consumer-protection laws guarantee you stronger rights, those rights are not affected by this clause.

17. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If the change is material, we will update the date at the top of this page and notify you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use Seek after the change means you accept the updated terms.
