We aim to reply within two business days.

Account & sign-in

I forgot my password

On the sign-in screen, tap Forgot Password? below the password field. Enter your email and we'll send a reset link via Supabase. The link opens a secure browser-based reset form. If the email doesn't arrive within a few minutes, check spam, then write us.

Sign in with Apple isn't working

Make sure you're signed in to your Apple ID in iOS Settings, then try again. If you previously signed in with Apple's "Hide My Email" relay and the relay address has expired, sign in again to restore the connection.

How do I delete my account?

Inside the app, tap the profile icon at the top right of the Home tab, then scroll to Delete Account at the bottom of the Profile screen. Confirming this permanently removes your profile, sync data, and usage logs from our servers. The action cannot be undone.

If you cannot access the app to delete your account, email us from the address on the account and we'll handle it within five business days.

Donations

Is Seek free?

Yes. Every feature is free to every signed-in user. There is no subscription, no in-app purchase, and no required payment.

How do I support Seek?

If Seek has been useful to you, you can make an optional donation from inside the app: Profile → Support Seek. Donations are processed securely by Stripe, are not refundable through Seek, and are not tax-deductible.

How much does Seek cost to run?

Real money — servers, the AI provider behind scripture chat, push notification infrastructure, and the App Store developer fee. We don't show ads, sell data, or run analytics; donations are how Seek stays alive.

Using Seek

Why does it say I've reached my daily limit?

Every signed-in user gets 50 scripture chats per day. Each prompt-and-response counts as one — including Regenerate scripture taps, since those are real new requests to the AI. The counter resets at midnight in your local time zone.

How do I change Bible translation?

Profile → Settings → Translation. Choose NLT (default) or KJV. The change applies to the next chat response and the daily verse.

I'm not getting daily verse notifications

Saving a verse card to Photos isn't working

The first time you save a card, iOS asks for permission to write to your Photos library. If you tapped "Don't Allow," go to iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos → Seek and switch to "Add Photos Only" or "All Photos." Seek only writes; we never read photos from your library.

Why is my chat content sent off the device?

To match scripture to what you've shared, your prompt is forwarded to our AI provider (Anthropic) through a secure server-side proxy. Seek's servers do not store the contents of your chat messages — only a per-day count for rate limiting. Your full chat history is kept on your device. See the Privacy Policy for details.

The app shows "You're offline"

Scripture chat needs an internet connection to call the AI provider. The home screen will keep showing your most recent daily verse with a "Saved copy" badge, and your library, favorites, and saved cards remain fully available offline. The chat input re-enables automatically once you reconnect.

The chat returned a generic error message

If you see "Something went wrong finding scripture for you," it usually means a transient AI provider issue. Try again in a minute. If it persists for more than a few attempts, email us — we monitor the chat backend and can usually identify the cause quickly.

Privacy & data

What does Seek collect about me?

The minimum to sign you in and sync your streak across devices. We do not run ads, third-party analytics, or device advertising identifiers, and we do not collect payment information — donations are processed externally by Stripe. Full detail in our Privacy Policy.

Can I export my data?

Right now, export is not built in. If you'd like a copy of your account data, email us and we'll provide it.

Something else?

Bug, feature request, theological feedback, kind word — all welcome at hello@askseekpray.app. Please include your iOS version and the build number (Profile → About) if you're reporting a bug.
